Actress/Director/Theatre Educator
Reneé L. Charlow, (SAG/AFTRA) is a
seasoned theatre actor/director/educator/producer and visual artist. She currently teaches Theatre Arts at Mt. Vernon High School (Fairfax County, VA) and is a professor of Literature at
Southern New Hampshire University. She worked for the legendary playwright Ntozae Shange from 2014 until her death in 2018 and wrote the afterword for Shanges latest book "Dance We Do."
She is the founder of My Creative Spirit a performing arts educational program.
Her recent acting credits include Juror 11 in 12 Incompetent
Jurors, Yvonne Perkins and Polly Perkins in White Fire, Black Ash,
Ara in Gravity Well, Lucy Gunns in Left, Right, Here, Ensemble in
Stories I Ain’t Told Nobody Yet and Narrator in The Ties that Bind.
Screen Credits include Mama in an upcoming documentary about the life of Washington, D.C. kingpin Rayful Edmonds
